The Capronnier Windows

This is a good place to view the three more brightly-coloured windows on the opposite side of the church (i.e. the South side).  These windows record important stories from the life and teaching of Jesus – the Good Samaritan, the Good Shepherd and the Prodigal Son.  Each of these parables can be found in the Bible.  The left-hand window shows a kind-looking man in the centre who is a Samaritan.  He is holding a jar of ointment in his right hand. In the right-hand part of this window we also see an injured man and the left-hand of the Samaritan who is administering ointment to his injuries. Jesus’s teaching here is about loving and helping our neighbour i.e. being a good Samaritan.  The parables (i.e. the Good Shepherd and the Prodigal Son) depicted in the other two windows may be best seen at Information Point 11.
