St Peter's has an excellent choir. The choirs sing at Sunday services, major festivals and weddings. They are directed by Nicholas Robinson, assisted by Alex Flood.

Boys between 7 and 12 and girls between 7 and 17 are welcome to audition at any time to join the choir. If they are successful, they sing with the choir as probationers for about six months and then are admitted as full members. They have opportunities to earn medals and they are paid according to experience and commitment.

 

Girls rehearse on Fridays, boys on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the men on Fridays. The choir usually sing at the 10am Holy Communion service, and Evensong.

Parents are important to the choir and their commitment is very much appreciated. They often help with supervising the social life of the girls and boys, and there are social events during the year.

 

Our choirs are affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music.
