Our Services This Week - Sunday 26 April

8am

BCP Communion

Join us at St Peter's at 8am for a quiet, traditional language communion service using the Book of Common Prayer.

10am

Morning Worship with Communion

Join us at 10am on Sunday 26 April for our morning worship with Communion.

Worship, readings, music led by our choir, prayers and a talk.

There is Junior Church during the service this week.

Tea and coffee are served after the service and everyone is very welcome to stay and chat.

The service is streamed and available to watch here.

Choral Evensong

This choir led service features beautiful choral music, hymns, prayers, readings and a short talk. An opportunity to reflect and refresh before another week begins.

11am Tuesday

Midweek Communion

This short communion service takes place on Tuesdays at 11am.

Stay for tea and coffee served after the service.

Wednesday 29 April at 1pm

Lunchtime Concerts

Our next lunchtime concert features violinist Louis Solon and pianist Phoebe Papandrea. They will perform music by Bach, Mozart and Brahms.

Concerts start at 1pm and last just under an hour. They are free to attend with retiring donations for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice.

Light refreshments are served in the Octagon following the concert.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting

This years Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) takes place on Sunday 10 May at 11.30am after our 10am service and coffee.

The electoral roll has been updated and a copy is available to view by the church doors or at the church office.

Monday 11 May at 11am

Dwelling in the Word

Everyone is welcome to attend Dwelling in the Word which is held once a month in the church library. Starting at 11am we meet for about an hour and a quarter, to read a short passage of scripture. For more information click here.

Tuesday 12 May at 2pm

Tea on Tuesday

Join us on Tuesday 12 May for Tea on Tuesday. Starting at 2pm, it's a time for some tea and assortment of sweet and savoury treats and chance to have some lively conversation.

Sunday 17 May at 12 - 3pm

Spring Festival

As part of the St Albans Spring Festival we are welcoming visitors to St Peter's on Sunday 17 May from 12 to 3pm.

There will be a bouncy castle, children's activities, history trail and refreshments. Come along and enjoy this beautiful building and churchyard.

Our church has long been a place of hospitality as one the city’s ancient gateway churches and people have worshipped here for over a thousand years.

Today we continue to offer a welcome to many from across the city and surrounding area, whether drawn by the quality of our music and choral tradition, our provision for children and young families, our offering of diverse opportunities for worship, prayer and learning, the strong sense of community we seek to foster - or for many other reasons.
